'Dialogue' 2-Seater Sofa - André Monpoix x Mobilier National

There is something immediately generous about Dialogue. Its continuous line, seat, back and arm resolved in a single unbroken movement, invites you to sit before you have even decided to. Designed in 1967 by André Monpoix for the French Ministry of Health, it went on to furnish the office of Simone Veil and the presidential railway car commissioned under Georges Pompidou's presidency. This 2-seat sofa is composed of two independent lounge chair modules linked by an integrated clutch: they can be separated, rearranged or extended with additional modules at any time. Reissued by Source Édition in collaboration with the Mobilier National, each piece is upholstered by hand in France. MATERIALS Structure: solid wood frame with webbing; foam padding in varying densities, lined with anti-slip fabric. Sides: white lacquered wood panels (RAL 9010). Legs: black lacquered wooden ball feet. Connection: integrated clutch system linking the modules. Upholstery: Maia fabric by Eurotessutti (100% polyester, made in Italy, stain-resistant, waterproof, fire-retardant, >100,000 Martindale, residential & contract use) or Sami faux fur by Casamance (100% polyester, 20,000 Martindale, 680 g/m², residential use).
