I like to capture figures not in a very finished or polished way, but more like quick impressions — gestures, postures, fragments of conversations, and the feeling of being surrounded by others. For me, the work is not about one specific scene or story. It is more about the atmosphere of a group, where everyone seems to be present in their own way. Some figures feel clearer, others almost disappear into the background, just like in real life, when we remember certain details and lose others. Emotion is always very important in my work. I am interested in the feeling a painting carries and what it reveals about my own inner world while I am making it. The soft, neutral tones leave space for the figures to breathe, while the loose lines and unfinished areas keep the work open. I like that it feels alive, but also quiet, as if many conversations are happening at once, without needing to explain everything.
