Certificate of Authenticity

A Certificate of Authenticity (COA) is a document issued by a reputable source that confirms the genuineness of an artwork. Often, COAs are signed by the artist, but they can also be signed by the gallery representing the artist or the printmaker who collaborated on the piece. For works sold in the secondary market, COAs are frequently issued by authorized estates or foundations.

COAs usually contain the artist's name, the artwork's title, date, medium, and dimensions, and, whenever possible, an image of the piece.

The Broken Wing Stool is part of the winged series. Hard, reflective aluminium is paired with soft, matt wood. Folded aluminium sheets are blank and shiny from outside and matt brushed from inside. The thick mdf is smooth and oiled. The metal base is constructed by different sized, standard folded u-profiles and joined by visible screws. All edges and corners are carefully chamfered by hand. The top seating plate con be customized on request. Each stool is handcrafted and made to order in Germany.
