One-of-a-kind piece

A five-light Art Deco candelabra by GAB (Guldsmedsaktiebolaget), Sweden, from the 1930s. Cast in heavy, solid bronze, it has acquired a rich black-brown patina with subtle hints of green. Five urn-shaped candle cups follow the gently scalloped sweep of the arms, balanced by a ribbed spherical stem and stepped base. With its restrained geometry and flowing curves, it captures the distinctive character of Swedish Art Deco. The piece is stamped with GAB’s maker’s mark and model number. Dimensions: H 14 cm (5.5") x L 39 cm (15.4")
