Certificate of Authenticity

A Certificate of Authenticity (COA) is a document issued by a reputable source that confirms the genuineness of an artwork. Often, COAs are signed by the artist, but they can also be signed by the gallery representing the artist or the printmaker who collaborated on the piece. For works sold in the secondary market, COAs are frequently issued by authorized estates or foundations.

COAs usually contain the artist's name, the artwork's title, date, medium, and dimensions, and, whenever possible, an image of the piece.

Pure and sculptural, this eucalyptus lamp rises like a small piece of domestic architecture. Its solid base, carved from wood with sharp edges and a raw finish, expresses the strength and stability of the material. From this orthogonal volume emerges a vertical shaft, a totem of pale wood, supporting a conical shade in natural fabric. The lamp evokes both a ritual object and a piece of contemporary design, playing with contrasts of grounding and lightness, solid and void, shadow and illumination.
