Gordon Moore is a designer and maker based on Martha’s Vineyard, MA, where he creates an experimental, material-driven collection of objects, lighting, and furniture. With over a decade of experience working with clay, ceramics form the foundation of his practice. His work continually branches into a broad range of other materials, exploring their tactile and structural possibilities through a sculptural lens. Each piece reflects a balance of form, function, and raw material expression, often drawing from both natural landscapes and architectural forms. One of many artists in his family, Gordon started drawing and painting at a young age. A childhood of fishing, hunting, sailing and surfing on the island of Martha’s Vineyard, instilled in him a deep appreciation for nature which remains the core influence of his work.
