Founded in 2018 by Prague-based designer Nina Makelberge, her family background in the antiques trade and childhood spent in Asia are the foundations behind Médecine and her design practice. Focusing on offering timeless design items that help bring a blend of elegance, juxtapositions and artistic flair; always compelled by the question what makes an object wanted to be held ..either in hand or in desire..

Along with her careful curation of antiques Nina designs her own collection of artisan-made objects, working closely with the skilled craftsmen from Europe in bronze, silver and glass using historical, time-honored techniques.
