Iris Bavelaar is an Amsterdam-based artist whose work is guided by colour, intuition and a curiosity about the way memories and emotions take shape.
Her paintings have gradually moved away from geometric compositions towards more abstract, landscape-like forms. Colour remains a constant throughout her work, often setting the mood before anything else takes shape.
