A pair of hand-carved wooden candlesticks with tulip-shaped heads and brass sockets, from the Scandinavian folk-art revival of the 1950s–1960s. Walnut-stained, carved so the top splits open into petals with solid brass inserts to take the flame. Very good condition with light scuffs and natural compression marks. Origin: Sweden or Norway, circa 1950–1960. Sold as a pair.
