Stainless Steel Floor Lamp - Sigil Tower

The Sigil Tower Lamp is a sculptural stainless steel and alabaster floor lamp from the Sigil Collection. Its undulating steel body rises like an ancient vessel redrawn in contemporary terms, while a chain of alabaster spheres held within releases a warm, serene glow that seems to come from the material itself. Sigil forms are hydroformed and hand-worked, producing surfaces with the weathered quality of ancient metal objects. The natural stone is chosen for its translucency: the steel catches and distorts ambient light, the alabaster absorbs and re-emits it, and together they give a light closer to candlelight than to contemporary electric illumination. Intimate rather than architectural, the lamp suits living rooms, bedrooms and hospitality interiors where considered, low light matters. Each is made from recyclable materials with a zero-casting process. Nitush Aroosh is the collectible design studio of brothers Nitush and Aroosh Mahipal in New Delhi, India.
