Antonina Turnau Kondratowa creates kimonos and kilims. A Polish artist by education, a tennis player by passion, born and bred in Cracow, she designed the City tapestry with humility, following the strictest rules of kilim making. Meticulously calculated horizontal lines are arranged in the form of vertical solids reminiscent of soaring skyscrapers of a great metropolis. The restraint visual means and the black and white pattern give inspiration to the minimalist aesthetics of Japan. The BigCity kilim is modern but rooted in tradition just like the city of Cracow itself. This Tapestry is best suitable as a wall hanging,
