A Certificate of Authenticity (COA) is a document issued by a reputable source that confirms the genuineness of an artwork. Often, COAs are signed by the artist, but they can also be signed by the gallery representing the artist or the printmaker who collaborated on the piece. For works sold in the secondary market, COAs are frequently issued by authorized estates or foundations.

COAs usually contain the artist's name, the artwork's title, date, medium, and dimensions, and, whenever possible, an image of the piece.

The engagement of Poland’s finest contemporary artists in kilim design has been a long-lasting tradition. The Chaos kilim was created by Edgar Bąk, one of the most renowned Polish graphic designers today. Edgar uses a visual language consisting of simple geometric forms and neat typography. These elements are also visible in the kilim, which he designed exclusively for Splot. Though its form is reduced to only two colors and few shapes, it manages to create an enigmatic pattern with a modern, minimalist, yet highly original quality. In the ancient Greek imaginarium, "Chaos" was the initial state of the world, a bottomless, directionless chasm from which the Cosmos emerged. However, when looking at Edgar's tapestry, this abstract idea doesn't seem so disordered anymore, for Chaos is the beginning of everything. We craft our contemporary, expressive kilims with a dense, refined texture, woven on a linen warp. The wool we use is hand-spun, and its soft bouclé texture gives the kilims a subtle irregularity and depth, building their organic, unique character. Each kilim can be compared to a loaf of traditional bread: made from the same ingredients and by the same skilled artisans, yet each one comes out unique. This tapestry has been purchased to the collection of the Silesian Museum in Katowice and the Central Textile Museum in Łódź
