Solid Wood Chair - CAS Series

The CAS Chair by Daniel Couttolenc is a sculptural solid wood chair defined by sweeping curves and the total elimination of right angles. In Tzalam — a Mexican hardwood of considerable visual depth, with a rich, dark warmth distinct from oak or walnut — the CAS becomes something both very Mexican and entirely its own. At 61 × 57 × 82 cm, the chair occupies space with quiet authority. Tzalam's density and grain respond to the CAS's curvilinear forms with particular richness: the wood's natural variation gives each individual chair a surface that is subtly different from every other, making each piece as singular as the geometry that generates it. Handcrafted in Mexico in solid Tzalam with a natural finish. Also available in Mexican Oak (Rosamorada), Red Oak, and American Walnut. Customisation is available upon request.
