Sailor’s Knot Bottle Opener, Italy, c. 1960s

A solid brass bottle opener formed around a classic sailor’s square knot, attributed to Italy and dating to the 1960s. Compact and well weighted, the piece sits comfortably in the hand, its looping form both tactile and deliberate. Over time, the brass has developed a warm, golden patina that softens its contours and highlights the subtle irregularities of its making.
