An iconic Lunario table designed by Cini Boeri in 1965, combining an exceptionally minimal silhouette with an ingenious structural solution. The large oval glass top appears to float above an eccentric polished metal base. Hidden counterweights inside the base balance the cantilevered top, leaving most of the space underneath completely open. The result is both sculptural and highly functional, with the asymmetrical construction giving the table a different appearance from every angle. Originally produced by Gavina and subsequently by Knoll International, Lunario became one of Boeri's most recognizable designs and a distinctive example of experimental Italian modernism.
