Italian Octagon "Teal" Glass Ashtray by Fontana Arte 70's
Produced by Fontana Arte in the 1970s, this octagonal “Teal” glass ashtray illustrates the precision and rigor of Italian design of the time. The period saw the emergence of an aesthetic in which geometric purity and mastery of the material became strong signatures. Made of tinted glass , cut and polished with great finesse, it presents a measured balance between sharp angles and central concavity.
The work of light on the mass of the glass reveals subtle reflections, characteristic of the expertise of the Milanese house. The piece is in very good original condition , with some discreet signs of use consistent with its age, preserving the quality and transparency of the material.
