Italian Bronze Ashtray, 1940s
This Italian ashtray from the 1940s is distinguished by its simple, architectural form, typical of certain post-war decorative pieces. Made of solid bronze, it features a circular design punctuated by four angular notches that serve as cigarette rests, their geometric volumes contrasting with the softness of the central cup. Over time, the surface has developed a beautiful natural patina, blending deep brown hues with the characteristic green reflections of bronze oxidation.
This homogeneous and authentic patina gives the piece a special charm and testifies to its age. Compact and elegant, this ashtray can also be repurposed as a catchall or as a decorative object on a coffee table or desk. It measures 12 cm wide by 2 cm high . Very nice overall patina.
