Göran Malmvall was a prominent figure in Swedish furniture design (1917-2001), establishing an influential legacy with his iconic pine chairs, known as model 553, crafted in collaboration with AB Karl Andersson & Söner in Huskvarna. The model, conceptualized in 1973, distinctly carries his design signature.
AB Karl Andersson & Söner, a respected furniture manufacturer, played an integral role in the creation of these chairs. Göran Malmvall's model 553 chairs symbolize practical elegance, resonating with timeless charm and meticulous craftsmanship, synonymous with his design ethos.
