Yunju Jung's work is created through a process of sewing fabric to establish a basic structure, immersing it in pine resin, and then shaping it as it emerges. In this transformation, the softness of the textile becomes a solid object, visualizing the moment when contrasting materials converge. In addition, air is infused into the fabric to shape its form, a symbolic gesture that evokes the primordial birth of life. The finished object reveals a state of "oneness", as pine resin and fabric permeate one another, blurring the boundaries between surface and interior. More than a fomal experiment, this process embodies her unique aesthetic, which seeks to explore existence, healing and the essential balance of life.
