White Dirt is a practice of synthesis — like soil, we absorb and transform material in order to make work that is rich, layered, and generative. At the studio, we make ceramics, lighting, and furniture. Beyond their practical purpose, the works are conceived as sculptural forms, inviting an experience of light and objects as art. After two decades of running her art studio, Dana Harel founded White Dirt in San Francsico in 2020 with the vision of creating raw collections that emphasized her expenrimental process.
