Violaine d’Harcourt is a French lighting designer born in Paris in 1987.
From an early age, she developed a strong artistic sensibility through drawing, sculpture and model making. She went on to study design and interior architecture at Camondo in Paris before continuing her education at Scuola Politecnica di Design in Milan.
After gaining experience in design production at Jacopo Foggini Studio in Milan, Federico Churba in Buenos Aires and Galerie Kreo in Paris, she founded her eponymous lighting studio, driven by the belief that thoughtfully designed lighting has the power to transform a space and bring warmth, character and emotion to everyday life.
Her collections combine timeless aesthetics with refined craftsmanship, using noble materials such as blown glass, ceramic, marble, wood and metal. Each piece is designed to last and reflects a careful balance between artisanal expertise and contemporary manufacturing.
Since relocating to Lisbon in 2021, Violaine has continued to develop her collections between Portugal and France. Today, every Violaine d’Harcourt lamp is proudly 100% designed and made in Portugal. Working closely with exceptional local artisans and manufacturers, the studio celebrates Portugal's rich craftsmanship while combining traditional expertise with contemporary production techniques to create lighting pieces of enduring quality.
