Architect, designer and artist based in Paris, Clémentine d'Aspremont-Menayas designs furniture at the meeting point of architecture and art. Her Avao collection is made in France from bent beech plywood, oak or walnut veneer, full-grain leather and brass. Informed by modernist classics, each piece is built on a cantilever curve that carries real weight while keeping an unexpected lightness, sculptural from every angle, and equally at home in a contemporary interior or a period apartment. The collection comprises a chair, an armchair, a lounge chair and a nesting coffee table, in editions of 50 per material combination. Demountable and recyclable.
