Certificate of Authenticity

A Certificate of Authenticity (COA) is a document issued by a reputable source that confirms the genuineness of an artwork. Often, COAs are signed by the artist, but they can also be signed by the gallery representing the artist or the printmaker who collaborated on the piece. For works sold in the secondary market, COAs are frequently issued by authorized estates or foundations.

COAs usually contain the artist's name, the artwork's title, date, medium, and dimensions, and, whenever possible, an image of the piece.

ROGUE Original painting on canvas Acrylics, dry pastel and oil pastel 120 × 160 cm I was thinking about the moments when you do something that feels right to you, even if it makes little sense to anyone else. How uncomfortable that can be when you’re used to considering what everyone might think. The figures in this painting are difficult to separate. I like that you can follow a line expecting it to belong to one form, then find yourself somewhere else. There’s a certain stubbornness to it that made me call it Rogue. For me, it’s about allowing yourself to follow an instinct without having a good explanation ready. I’m still learning to do that.
