The crescendo of the Hour Collection is without a doubt Cloak - a sculptural, multipurpose piece of furniture that introduces a bold presence to the collection. Inspired by a traditional Maori cloak or Korowai, a traditional garment made from natural materials symbolising ancestry, the designer envisaged this work to symbolise homecoming and identity. Its enveloping form recalls the soft drape of fabric, yet in solid material it becomes architectural, anchoring atmospheres with both intimacy and structure. Cloak is crafted from Sapele Mahogany and chrome.
