Jonathan Cohen is both a designer and a master woodworker, creating sculptural pieces with variable geometric shapes. His works are characterized by thoughtful proportions and playful, embodied decorative expressions. His designs blend styles, drawing inspiration from Art Deco and Memphis, resulting in timeless objects. With a background in graphic design, Jonathan brings a sense of pattern to his work. Abstract forms of typography, seen as the rhythm of letters on paper, adorn some of his creations, which are hand-stained on wood. The hand application adds a unique, irregular touch to this print-inspired aesthetic. After training in cabinetmaking in 2021, Jonathan Cohen now designs and creates his pieces in his workshop in La Courneuve.
