Italian Vase in Opaque Murano Glass, 80s
This vase is typical of Murana glass production in the 1980s, a period marked by a return to clear forms and subtle explorations of color and material. Its flared, stable, and well-proportioned silhouette highlights the glasswork more than the decoration.
Italian production, Murano, circa 1980. Blown glass vase in opaque glass, with a bluish base gradually fading into a lighter shade. Handcrafted, typical of Murano workshops, with a deliberately controlled thickness of glass to maintain good visual stability. The condition is very good. The glass has no chips or cracks. Some slight internal irregularities, inherent to the blowing process, contribute to the authenticity of the piece without altering its appearance.
The vase measures 25 cm in height and 17 cm in width at the opening, ideal proportions for a strong presence without excess. It will naturally find its place on its own on a console, a shelf, or as a centerpiece, with or without a floral arrangement. A simple piece, representative of late Muran craftsmanship.
