Katia Langeard is a ceramic artist and designer living and working in France, Èze. She has grown up in a creative environment in a family of architects, surrounded by the paintings, sculptures, furniture and lighting created by her grandfather, soviet architect Oleg Goryachev. She studied architecture in Moscow Architectural Institute (State Academy) and devoted many years to career in architecture and interior design in Russia and Europe leaving her native country in 2012.
In 2019 – 2023 she was learning pottery at the studio of Stéphane Montalto, winner of Best Craftsman of France (MOF). Starting 2023 she has opened her studio and is creating contemporary ceramic lighting and small furniture influenced by her architectural background.
She participated in ceramic residency in Vallauris and she had a number of group and solo expositions in France, Belgium and Italy. Her works are located in A.I.R. Vallauris public collection and in private collections in France.
