A central area of clear glass interrupts the circular mirrored surface, encircled by an irregular halo shifting from black to deep crimson. Across this transition, the reflected image gradually gives way to the wall visible through the transparent centre. The colour of the wall on which the work is mounted therefore becomes an integral part of the composition.\n\nThe gradient is created using light-sensitive inks whose colour intensity varies with the surrounding light. Its appearance may therefore differ slightly from the images shown, depending on the lighting conditions in the space where the work is displayed.\n\nMade in Italy from laminated mirror and clear glass, with concealed stainless-steel wall-mounting profiles.
