Villa Arev was created by Gabrielle Thomassian in September 2017. After a BA Ceramic Design at the Central Saint Martin School of London, she moved to Paris, opened her workshop and created her own brand. Nurtured by an eclectic cultural background, she designs, elaborates and produces pop and vivid ceramics with a contemporary look, as much inspired by the creations of Bernard Palissy as those of Ettore Sotsass or Marco Zanini of the Memphis group. Arev means Sun in Armenian. Villa Arev creations are filled with fresh, summery symbols that evoke an air of vacation, a dip in the Mediterranean.
