'Jataí' Dinning Table
Jataí, from the Tupi word Yata’i, refers to a species of stingless bee commonly found in Brazil. These bees build their nests horizontally, creating distinctive wax tubes at their entrance that resemble jars. Their honey has higher moisture content, making it less viscous.
Continuing research on meliponiculture, PROSA merged cataloged forms of honey with the entrances of Jataí bee nests to create its second dining table in the collection.
