Made in Switzerland, the DS-1025 is defined by its extraordinary sculptural construction. Layer upon layer of softly padded leather creates a stepped, almost topographical silhouette, giving the sofa its unmistakable architectural presence. This particular example is a very rare version of the DS-1025, especially desirable in its unusual warm grey\/taupe leather. The understated colour beautifully complements the sofa’s bold sculptural form and makes this an exceptionally distinctive example of the design. The leather has developed a beautiful natural patina over time, with subtle creasing and variations that add character and emphasize the quality and softness of the material. The generous proportions, low profile and flowing contours make the Terrazza as much a sculptural object as a piece of furniture. Despite its bold appearance, the deeply padded construction provides the exceptional comfort and quality for which De Sede is renowned. More than five decades after its creation, the DS-1025 remains remarkably contemporary and has become an enduring statement piece of Swiss design. With its rare configuration and particularly beautiful colour, this example offers a unique opportunity for collectors of important 20th-century design.\n\n \n\n \n\nMeasurements:\nH 88 x W 150 x D 68 x SH 38 cm","brand":"Modern Living","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":67807981175174,"sku":null,"price":18000.0,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0671\/5290\/4457\/files\/ncpfgh3slk2l1sdjq1il.jpg?v=1793202295","url":"https:\/\/oblist.com\/fr-ch\/products\/rare-taupe-leather-terrazza-ds-1025-sofa-by-ubald-klug-for-de-sede-1972","provider":"The Oblist","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
