I wanted the figures to feel present, but not completely defined — almost as if they are appearing and disappearing at the same time.\n\nThere is a quiet movement in the painting, like a memory of a place, a conversation, or a passing scene. Some parts are more visible, while others are left unfinished or covered by softer layers. I like this balance between what is shown and what remains unclear.\n\nEmotion is always the most important part of my work. I am interested in the feeling a painting carries, not only in the image itself. Through these figures, gestures and pale layers, I keep exploring something inside myself — the way I notice people, distance, silence, and the small moments that often pass without being fully understood.\n\nThe soft colours and loose marks create a sense of calm, but there is also tension in the unfinished areas.
