{"product_id":"bacchus-crystal-globe-vase-with-grapes-nymphs-in-relief-attr-rene-lalique","title":"“Bacchus” Crystal Globe Vase with Grapes \u0026 Nymphs in Relief | Attr. René Lalique","description":"A heavy vintage French crystal vase celebrating classical mythology through dramatic, high-relief artwork. The body features a rich frosted satin finish depicting a continuous motif inspired by Bacchus—the Roman god of wine, celebration, and harvest—surrounded by lush grapevines, satyrs, and ethereal nymphs reaching upward through the foliage.\nThe frosted center is framed by a thick, hand-faceted clear crystal rim and base, creating a stunning visual contrast. When placed near a window or in direct sunlight, the clear glass refracts light magnificently while the frosted satin relief glows from within.\n\nAttribution \u0026amp; Provenance Context\nThe form, relief execution, dimensions (25 cm w x 16 cm), and substantial weight (4.92 kg) correspond to René Lalique's \"Bacchus\" vase design. While identical signed examples (R. Lalique France) are recorded in auction archives, this specific piece is unsigned. It is presented on its strong aesthetic merit, weight, and fine visual craftsmanship.\n\nIn very good vintage display condition throughout. The frosted satin finish remains crisp with high crystal transparency. Includes one minor internal shell flake on the inner rim. The outer profile and top rim surface remain entirely smooth and intact, rendering the flaw completely invisible when displayed on a table or shelf.
